Well, I made it! I can’t quite believe it, I’ve really enjoyed it though and I hope you have too.
Since Bert arrived I’ve become a little obsessed with deer heads. I’ve bought three new deer heads and quite a big stash of wool to do a few more, I just need to find the time! I’m also planning a few non woolly additions to the Taylor deer head collection, I’ll keep you posted!
Here’s a few of Bert’s distant relatives I discovered this week.
You might have guessed, I’ve been to see Lionel Richie tonight!!!
We were quite high up, and I forgot my binoculars, but I could still see the vivid silhouette of Big L doing his thing!
Well, only 3 more posts to go after today and I will have completed my blogtoberfest mission. I can’t believe I’ve lasted this long!
I had another rugby match today, our fourth of the season. We managed a very triumphant 64-0, not bad, and I got 3 tries, even better.
Anyway, my mum’s come to visit me this weekend and while I was warming up she took herself off for a little wonder around the village and found a little craft shop.
In this little craft shop was a very nice lady doing a little bit of needle felting. My mum had the sudden brainwave of getting a starter kit as a thank you for feeding her all weekend.
So whilst nursing my bruises and a slightly sore neck I thought I’d give it a go.
After much huffing and puffing I got to here…
Then a little more huffing an a lot of stabbing myself In the finger got me to here!
An added bonus to this is that the pain I’m now feeling in my fingers from all that repetitive stabbing has distracted me from all my rugby bruises.
Just one more thing, for anybody that hasn’t needle felted and wants to try it, you don’t really have to stab yourself, I just got a little over excited.
I’ve been to see the new James Bond film tonight, it was incredible.
I have a slight reputation for telling people what happens in films or books before they’ve seen/read them, my mum can fill you in on the details, she just won’t drop it!
But I’m not going to do that, all I’m going to say is that it was incredible, and I’ve ALWAYS wanted to slide down the middle of the escalators at tube stations!
I’m sure I’m not the only person that dreams of winning the lottery, I get so excited sometimes I convince myself I’m going to win, but I always end up disappointed.
If I did win the lottery I think I’d spend quite a lot of my time making stuff. At the minute I just can’t do it fast enough, I spend a lot of my time in work just wishing the day to go a little but faster so I can get home and finish those mittens or start the next little project spinning round in my head.
I could even upgrade from having lots of little projects to one massive one, like this…..
This incredible room was created by Artist Allyson Mitchell in 2006.
I’m definitely buying a lottery ticket tomorrow…
I am pretty clumsy, it’s embarrassing sometimes. I’ve got a new work phone and I’m really scared of dropping it and breaking it. A week after I got it I nearly dropped it down a gutter, thankfully lady luck was shining on my that day, I may not be so lucky next time.
What a really need is an amazing case which makes my phone completely indestructible, but I’ll settle for a pretty crocheted one instead. Here’s a few pieces of inspiration to get me thinking…
Remember I when I mentioned my amazing project here but didn’t want to show you til it was done? Well, it took longer than I thought, but worth the wait I think…..
Isn’t he handsome! I’ve been looking for a decopage deer head for months and finally found one when Hobbycraft got their Christmas stock in. There was no real pattern or plan, I just started crocheting around his neck and just kept going.
I don’t normally buy Elle decoration. Not because I don’t like it, but because I usually want to buy everything in it and that’s not good because I don’t have a house to do up yet and it’s all a bit pricy. But I decided to treat myself this weekend, and I’m so glad I did!
